I’m currently a Digital Strategist with ISITE Design, a digital agency serving clients from offices in Boston, Los Angeles and Portland, OR. Our goal is to teach organizations to thrive in the digital age.
Prior to that I was a Senior Practice Director for Community, Content, and Commerce at Optaros. For the last ten+ years, I’ve been designing and building web applications for organizations ranging from small non-profits to the Fortune 500. At Optaros, I work with clients and prospects to design and execute on strategies for leveraging the Assembled Web to drive revenue, deepen customer engagement, and increase their digital footprint.
Before Optaros, I was Director of Application Development at PixelMEDIA in Portsmouth, NH, leading a team developing e-commerce and content management solutions.
Before PixelMEDIA I was at Molecular, where I held a number of roles, including: Director of Production (front-end development), Principal Consultant in User Experience, and Principal Consultant in Software Engineering. (Actually I joined TVisions, which became Molecular – and was later acquired by Isobar).
I’ve received a BA from Boston University and a PhD from the University of Washington, Seattle, as well as an additional Master’s in Information Systems from Northeastern University.
I also blog at Open Parenthesis on many things related to work: open source, web design, and general internet culture stuff.
